A tesztet elősegítheti az, hogy az indiai csapat is Mercedes motorokat használ, valamint ugyanaz a főszponzoruk, mint Auer DTM-es csapatának, így nem lenne szokatlan számára a rózsaszín autó.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Ha ez a teszt valóban létrejön, akkor az osztrák versenyző Pascal Wehrlein példáját követheti, aki Mercedes támogatással jutott el a DTM-ből a Forma-1-be, azaz nem kizárt, hogy ez a teszt annak a jele lehet, hogy a Mercedes szeretné jövőre állandó üléshez juttatni a száguldó cirkuszban.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Auer második helyen áll a DTM jelenleg is futó bajnokságában, hátránya mindösszesen egy pont az Audis Rene Rast mögött. A legutóbbi, magyarországi hétvégéje azonban nem sikerült jóra, ugyanis egyik futamon se tudott pontot szerezni. Ez a gyengébb hétvége azonban nem tántorította el a bajnoki álmaitól: „Még hat versenyhétvége hátra van, mindent bele fogok adni, hogy megszerezzem a bajnoki címet.” Mondta a fiatal
