Megnyerte a Forma 2-t 2016-ban, szóval remek ajánlólevéllel rendelkezik. A Toro Rosso-ban remekül megedződhetnek az ilyen fiatal pilóták. Láttuk ezt Vettel, Ricciardo, Sainz és Verstappen esetében is. Most pedig Gasly-nál látható ez, ő lett a következő, aki ezt elvégezte ezt.
