Ezen a pontot elvileg el is dőlt, hogy Leclerc érkezhet az olaszokhoz, ráadásul nem csak 2019-ben, hanem már idén, a Belga Nagydíjtól kezdve. Úgy tudni, hogy a Ferrari partnere, a Puma el is készített négy ferraris overált a monacói versenyzőnek, a Ferrari ügyvédei pedig már egyeztettek Leclerc menedzserével, Nicolas Todttal.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Marchionne halálával azonban ez a történet megrekedt. A csapatfőnök, Maurizio Arrivabene szeretné megtartani a finnt, ahogy a csapattárs, Sebastian Vettel is. Mindemellett az új vezérigazgató, Louis Camilleri is „lojális barátnak” nevezte Räikkönent, és többször is elmondta, hogy jelenleg minden rendben a Ferrarinál, nem biztos, hogy változtatni kellene ezen. A Jégember mindemellett az új elnökke, John Elkannal is jó viszonyt ápol.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Mindeközben Leclercet az FIA elnöke, Jean Todt is támogatja, menedzser fián keresztül. Úgy tudni, hogy a csapat technikai igazgatója, Mattia Binotta is szeretné Leclercet a csapatnál látni.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>A nagy kérdés tehát továbbra is az, hogy végül még egy szezonra marad-e
