Az ausztrál pilóta leszaladt a pályáról és amint visszatért oda, megcsúszott és a falban találta magát. Az eset miatt pályára kellett küldeni a biztonsági autót.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Az újra indítás után nem történt pozíciócsere az élmezőnyben, maradt az élen a Piastri, Zhou, Shwartzman sorrend. A kerékcserék sorát Liam Lawson és Christian Lundgaard nyitotta meg, Mindketten a hetedik körben álltak ki friss közepes keverékű gumikért. Őket két körrel később követte Shwartzman és Dan Ticktum.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Mivel az élmezőny pilótáinak reagálnia kellett a Ferrari juniorjára, így az alternatív stratégiát alkalmazó Théo Pourchaire vehette át a vezetést a futam 10. körében. A francia fiatal mögött még Felipe Drugovich, Marcus Armstring és Jüri Vips volt még hasonló taktikán.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>A Piastri, Zhou, Shwartzman trió meg kezdte a felzárkózást és a 21. körre már csak azon pilóták voltak előttük, akik még nem tudták le a kötelező kerékcseréjüket. Pourchaire a 27. körig bírta ki, ami miatt a leglágyabb gumikon 7 kört kellett teljesítenie. Azonban az ART Grand Prix szerelői nem dolgoztak gyorsan, ami miatt Pourchaire jelentős másodperceket veszített.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Drugovich egy körrel később jött ki a bokszba és át is ugrotta Pourchaire-t a pályán, azonban a 18 éves francia azonnal vissza tudta őt előzni az üzemmeleg abroncsai segítségével.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Azonban Liwson megálló autója miatt VSC fázis lépett érvénybe, ami miatt a friss gumikon érkezők nem tudták megtámadni Shwartzmant a harmadik helyért egy rövid ideig.
