A 26 esztendős motoros idén már képviselte a csapatot: akkor Álex Márquez montmelói sérülésének következtében ugrott be, méghozzá nem is akárhogyan.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Az időmérőn és a sprinten a státuszához mérten korrekt, de feledhető teljesítményt nyújtott, majd jött a futam. Vasárnap ugyan jó néhányan kiestek előle, leginkább a Jorge Martín által okozott rajtbaleset következtében, de így is megsüvegelendő, hogy a tizenhat célba érőből a hetedik helyet szerezte meg. Doningtonban aztán megtört a jég, és legyőzte az olasz versenyzőt, és alighanem örömét a másnapi bukás sem árnyékolta be túlságosan.
