A 63 éves szakember ugyanis a teljes motorsportrészleg számára fejlesztett erőforrásokat, minden géposztályt és szakágat beleértve. Egyébként is egy hatalmas tapasztalattal rendelkező mérnökről van szó, aki korábban a Forma–1-ben is megfordult, majd több rendkívül sikeres konstrukcióval – a szakértők a 2012-es kéthengeres Moto3-as blokkot emelik ki a munkái közül – tette le a névjegyét.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Így nem is csoda, hogy a MotoGP-programja érdekében nagy erőforrásokat mozgósító Honda lecsapott rá. A 2025-ös Német Nagydíj környékén jelentették be, hogy a sváb mérnök új szakmai kihívást keresve csatlakozik a japán márkához, kifejezetten a versenyrészleg motorfejlesztési osztályához. Ennek keretében a hírek szerint elsősorban persze a MotoGP-blokkok, kiemelten a jövőre érkező 850 köbcentis erőforrás fejlesztésén kezdett dolgozni.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Viszont meglepő módon gyorsan véget érhet a kalandja. A \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.speedweek.com\u002Fa\u002Fmotogp\u002Fexklusiv-motoren-entwickler-kurt-trieb-kommt-von-honda-zurueck-zu-ktm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SPEEDWEEK\u003C\u002Fa> értesülései szerint ugyanis alig egy év után távozott a Hondától. A szaklap részleteket nem tudott meg a szétválásról, kivéve, hogy az a mérnök kérésére történt. Nem kizárt, hogy ennek ahhoz van köze, hogy a 63 éves szakembernek rendszeresen ingáznia kellett németországi lakóhelye és Japán között. A SPEEDWEEK úgy tudja, hogy most „egy meg nem határozott hosszúságú szünet” következik Trieb pályafutásában, valószínűleg szerződéses okok miatt, majd újra el fogja foglalni a korábbi pozícióját a KTM-nél, ahol ezt azóta nem töltötték be, tehát a visszatérése miatt senkit sem kell elküldenie az osztrák
