A szezon azonban katasztrofálisan sikerült a Rally2-es i20-szal, egyetlen versenyen sem tudott pontot szerezni, igaz akkori csapattársa, Emil Lindholm ugyancsak egyik legnehezebb évét töltötte akkor a rally pályákon a Hyundai autójával.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>A korábbi WRC2-es bajnok Lindholm tavaly azonban már visszatudott térni Skodával néhány futamon, Suninen azonban ezt nem tudta megtenni és egyetlen versenyen sem állt rajthoz.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>A 31 éves versenyző idén azonban ezen változtatna.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>“Idén egyértelműen szeretnék visszatérni és szeretném felhívni a figyelmet magamra a 2027-es évre – mondta Teemu Suninen a Rallit.fi oldalnak. – Szeretnénk néhány WRC2-es futamon indulni, ahol jó eredményre lenne esélyem. Jelenleg ezen dolgozunk, de igen nehéz a dolgok megoldása. Hiszem, hogy néhány jó eredménnyel ismét felfigyelnének rám, korom miatt pedig elég tapasztalattal rendelkeznék egy WRC27 autó fejlesztéséhez és teszteléséhez.
