2022-re már 23 fordulósra tervezték a Forma-1-es versenynaptárt és csak az Orosz Nagydíj kiesése miatt csökkent ez a szám 22-re. Az F1 vezetői 25-ig meg sem állnának, bár ezzel a megközelítéssel sokan nem értenek egyet.
Mindenesetre egyre több új helyszín kerül a naptárba. Idén például már debütált Miami, jövőre pedig Las Vegasba is elvinnék a Forma-1-et. Az F1 Amerikába és a Közel-Keletre si terjeszkedik, sőt felmerült már az is, hogy visszatérnének Dél-Afrikába is.
Így aztán egyre gyakrabban merül fel a kérdés, hogy mi lesz a történelmi, európai helyszínek sorsa. E téma kapcsán leggyakrabban Monaco merül fel.
